Dear Signature Coins,
Thank you for your help with this project. I’m working on a rough sketch to try and do a better job communicating some hopes to you. I’ll let you know as soon as I have anything ready to show.

Front Design
A torch as the primary element.
Behind and around the torch is a textured background with small stars of different sizes.
Design Elements Include:
Dual (Or Triple) plated (Silver with Gold elements on a darker, textured background)
3d
A textured background
Magnet (back)
Serial Numbering (back)
Some Text (back)
Edges/Frame
(maybe) Writing on the edges
In a perfect world, this would be customizable like the Hurricane Ian coin. I understand that is unlikely for the first iteration. If this is possible, then no need for serial numbering.
Overall aesthetic: minimalistic, yet detailed - elegant. Symbolic of a light in the darkness.
Size: relatively small. Probably 1.5 - 2 inches. Let’s say 1.75 for now for simplicity’s sake.
I’m open to any recommendations.
Has anyone been a light in your darkest moments?
Everyone’s story is unique, so I don’t know who this might be for you. So please, take a moment and ask yourself these questions.
Is there anyone who believed in you when you didn’t believe in yourself? Is there anyone who helped you turn from a dark path to a path of prosperity and well-being? Is there a friend who isn’t related to you by blood, but has been better to you than your own family? Is there anyone who’s had a profoundly positive impact on your life, but they don’t even know it? Is there anyone who’s saved your job? your marriage? your loved ones? your own life? Is there anyone who stood by your side when you were at your worst? Has anyone ever jumped in front of a bullet for you?
If so, this is a gift to be designed specifically for that person or those people. This is a gift for the ones who rescue us from others. This is a gift for the ones who rescue us from ourselves. This is a gift for real-life heroes.
Why a torch? To symbolize a light in the darkness.
Why a magnet? Because I’ve learned that the ones who help us sometimes need help themselves. My hope is that every time the receiver sees this magnet, they will be reminded that they have been a light to another and that the world is better with them in it.
Initial Image
Here’s a real-life coin which is a good place to start for the hoped-for aesthetic.
The gold/silver combo, the simplicity of the design, and the detail of the leaf are all close.
Obviously the content is different. Additionally, we’re hoping for a bit more texture rather than flat silver.

Layout and Sconce
This is a good example of sizing and centering. & the sconce is pretty good.
The elements in the background, edge, and the flame are not worth imitating here.
Flames (12 pics)
I need help with this - I don’t have the artistic ability or know what is possible. Here are some options to start.
I hope the flame will be inspiring and beautiful - it should be the primary component.
I’m open to different variations of its shape. There are a few examples with notes below.

Pretty good.

Notes on rays from flame (9 pics)
I like the concept of light-rays emanating from the flame if it can work within the overall design.

I like the rays here. Not sure if this is an option.

Not bad. Worth showing.

An option.

Another option.

If swirls in the background are not an option, perhaps something like this with gold stars.

1 of 3 - The rays here aren't well executed but I use this as an example of a type of style which may work with a different design.

2 of 3 not sure if rays somewhere along this edge would benefit a design like this.
